These Terms & Conditions explain the terms under which Mathina provides online tutoring services.By booking a lesson or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.1. About MathinaMathina provides online tutoring and educational support in Mathematics and Science, including one-to-one tuition, small-group tuition, homework support and exam preparation.Mathina currently operates as a sole-trader business.2. Booking LessonsLessons are booked through our online booking system.When making a booking, the parent or student must provide accurate and complete information, including the student's name, age/year group and relevant contact details.A booking is confirmed once the booking process has been completed and, where applicable, payment has been successfully received.The available lesson times shown through our booking system are subject to availability.3. Lesson Fees and PaymentThe applicable price for each service is displayed on the Mathina website and/or booking system before payment.Payment must be made using the payment method available through our booking system.Mathina reserves the right to change its prices. Any price change will not affect a lesson that has already been paid for and confirmed.4. Cancellation and ReschedulingWe understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please do so as early as possible using the available booking system or by contacting Mathina.The cancellation and refund arrangements are explained in our

Mathina reserves the right to apply the applicable cancellation policy where a lesson is cancelled with insufficient notice or where a student does not attend.5. Late Arrival and Missed LessonsStudents are expected to attend lessons on time.If a student arrives late, the lesson may still finish at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson fee may apply.If a student does not attend a booked lesson without prior notice, the lesson may be treated as a missed lesson and may not be refundable.Where the tutor is responsible for a delay or cancellation, Mathina will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative lesson or provide an appropriate solution.6. Online LessonsMathina provides lessons online using the platform or meeting link provided at the time of booking.Parents and students are responsible for having:A suitable deviceA reliable internet connectionA suitable and quiet learning environmentAny required software or applicationsAppropriate access to the lesson linkTechnical problems caused by the student's equipment or internet connection do not automatically qualify for a refund.If a technical problem occurs on the Mathina/tutor side, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue or arrange an alternative lesson where appropriate.7. Student Behaviour and Learning EnvironmentStudents are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors and other students.Mathina does not tolerate abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour.Where inappropriate behaviour seriously affects the lesson or the safety and wellbeing of the tutor or other students, Mathina may suspend or terminate the service.Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that younger students have an appropriate learning environment and, where necessary, suitable adult supervision.8. Educational ResultsMathina aims to provide high-quality, personalised educational support.However, we cannot guarantee a particular examination grade, academic result or improvement in performance.Student progress depends on many factors, including attendance, effort, engagement, independent study, existing knowledge and support outside lessons.9. Educational Materials and Intellectual PropertyMathina may provide worksheets, exercises, revision materials, lesson resources and other educational content.These materials are provided for the personal educational use of the student.Unless we give written permission, Mathina materials must not be:ResoldPublished onlineDistributed commerciallyCopied for commercial useUsed to provide tutoring services to othersMathina retains ownership of its original educational materials and content.10. CommunicationMathina may communicate with parents or students regarding:BookingsLesson arrangementsPaymentsCancellationsReschedulingStudent progressRelevant educational informationCommunication may take place by email, telephone, WhatsApp or other contact details provided during the booking process.11. Safeguarding and Student WelfareMathina is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment.Where concerns arise regarding a student's safety or wellbeing, Mathina may take appropriate action and, where legally or professionally required, share relevant information with appropriate authorities or safeguarding organisations.12. Privacy and Personal InformationMathina collects and uses personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party ServicesMathina may use third-party services to provide certain functions, including online booking, payment processing, video conferencing and website services.These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.Mathina is not responsible for interruptions or failures caused by third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.14. Changes to These TermsMathina may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.The latest version will be published on the Mathina website with the date of the most recent update.Changes will not normally affect bookings that have already been confirmed unless required by law.15. Limitation of LiabilityMathina will provide its tutoring services with reasonable care and skill.To the extent permitted by law, Mathina will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including internet failures, technical problems, third-party platform failures or events beyond our control.Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.16. Governing LawThese Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.Any disputes will be subject to the applicable courts and laws of England and Wales.17.
